What we store

Name, email, phone number, blood group, gender, date of birth, location (country and district), last donation date, optional photo, bio, WhatsApp and Facebook links, and the messages and requests you send through the site.

What other people can see

• Donor search shows your name, photo, blood group, district and availability.
• Your phone number is hidden until a visitor taps “Show number”. Lookups are rate-limited. You can restrict it to signed-in members in your account.
• Your email address and date of birth are never shown to other users.
• The contact phone you enter on a blood request is visible on that request until it expires.

Alerts

If you are a donor, we may email or SMS you when someone in your district needs blood you can give. You control this in your account, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Your choices

You can hide yourself from search, change your details or delete your account and all its data at any time from the Account page.

Security

Passwords are stored with bcrypt. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.
